Can you believe it!?!  We only have 17 more days in 7-B :(  The next month will be filled with many exciting activities.  Please mark your calendars and help your daughters remember what to bring on certain days.

Monday, May 12  Calvert Spirit Day/Calvert Buddy Day, dress down in Calvert colors

Tuesday, May 13  Popsicle Stone Party and extra recess

Thursday, May 15  Picnic lunch with our 10th Age Buddies, bring a beach towel, hat and sunglasses

Friday, May 23  Track and Field Day, dress down for the events.  12:30 dismissal

Monday, May 26  NO SCHOOL

Thursday, May 29  March Reading Madness Movie Party

Monday, June 2  Moving Up Day, get a sneak-peak at 8th Age

Wednesday, June 4  Last day of school, 12:30 dismissal

**Mystery Readers**

We LOVE when Mystery Readers come in to read to us!  Recently we had two lovely mothers join us for books and treats.  Thank you for reading to us, Mrs. Higgins and Ms. Chen!

Our Play

I know you are just as proud as I am of our AMAZING, MAGNIFICENT, ENERGETIC actresses.  All of their hard work over the last month paid off with an incredible performance!  Bravo, Girls!!!  As much as we LOVED practicing for our play, we are excited to get back to our regularly scheduled program :)

Book Fair

Yay!  We love books!  The girls were SO excited to shop for books this week.  Thank you for supporting their love of reading ;)

Field Trip to the Science Center

We had a GREAT time at the Science Center.  From the I-Max to the Kids' Room and all the different exhibits, it was a fun time to spend with our classmates and the many parents that chaperoned.  Thank you for helping make the day run smoothly!

Symbolic Migration

Back in the fall we sent paper Monarchs to a school in Mexico in hopes of receiving a package of butterflies in the spring once the Monarch started its migration back north.  Well, last week we received our butterflies.  We were so excited to look through the different ones that came.  They were from all over the United States, and even a few from Maryland.  We can't wait to see if any real Monarchs choose our butterfly garden as a stop on their migration route!
