Happy Holidays!

I would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and happy New Year!
Enjoy this time with your family and friends.

And thank you for letting me be part of your daughters' lives.  I am thankful for each and every one of them and love seeing their smiling faces every day.  I know 2014 will be even more fun and exciting, as we continue to grow and learn together!

 Happy Holidays!
Megan*

PS. During our long break away from school, make sure to continue reading every night.  Also, try to have your daughter meet up with a friend or two from school over the break.  Go see the trains at Kenilworth, go out for a movie, have someone over for hot chocolate and a craft.  Keeping the connections over a long break will help ease the transition when  January 6th comes knocking on our doors.

Ornament Exchange

The girls absolutely LOVED the ornament exchange this morning!  There were many "oohhs" and "aahhs" coming from our classrooms.  The ornaments were beautiful and special, and now your daughter has another token to remember her year in 7-B.  Thank you so much for helping make this project so special for the girls.

The Polar Express with our 10th Age Buddies

One of my favorite holiday books is the Polar Express, by Chris Allsburg.  Today we visited our 10th Age Buddies to listen to the story.  We sipped on hot cocoa and nibbled on Christmas tree shaped pretzels.  It was fun spending time with our buddies before the winter break.

Calvert's First Ever Turkey Tango!

Today we participated in Calvert's first Turkey Tango.  The 8th Graders were our buddies.  They helped us make a turkey craft using our hand prints.  Then we all played turkey kickball, which was so much fun.  The 8th Graders ate lunch with us and even stayed for recess.  We had so much fun!!

Franklin the Turkey made an appearance and had us do the turkey tango.
He also told us many funny Thanksgiving Day jokes!
