Happy Friday and February!

What a fun-filled first week of February!!!  We had a mystery reader, International Week, 10th Age Buddies, AND a trip to the B.S.O.!  WOW :)

A Look Ahead (to another busy week):
*Next week is a short week: NO SCHOOL on Friday, February 14th or Monday, February 17th.

*Next week's spelling words are:

trip, run, stop, drop, hug, swim, tripped, running, stopping, dropped, hugged, swimming

Our Spelling test will be on THURSDAY.

*We will take the next two weeks to write our composition about winter.  Over the weekend, have you daughter describe what it looks like outside in the winter, what types of clothes she wears in the winter, and what outside activities she enjoys doing in the winter.  We are working on adding extra details to our sentences, so try to include where, when, and with whom.

*Our first Secret Valentine clue is due on Monday, and a fancy card/treat is due on Thursday.  We will also have an optional class valentine exchange on Thursday.  

*Our Valentine Party is on Thursday, from 2:15-3:00.  Please contact Megan Higgins if you have any questions.
